About County

Our history

Founded by Dr (Chief) and Mrs A.B. Craig on the 2nd of October, 1976. County Clinic started out at 6 Stadium Road, Ogba, Agege. It opened to the public on the 16th of October, 1976. It was a faithful and hard working small beginning with one consulting room, a dispensary, dressing room, observation room and waiting room.

A year later, about 3,000 patients had received treatment with us. By our second year anniversary, that number grew six-fold to 18,000 patients. Based on the growing demand for the excellent service we were known for. We expanded across the road. Our second medical facility opened. It was called County Clinic Annexe and Maternity Home. It housed 16 beds (8 maternity and the other 8 general medical). Within a year County Clinic opened a 3rd medical facility at 12 Oshindein Street. There we broadened our services with more diagnostics, such as various lab tests, X-ray and ECG.

After our 3rd year anniversary, we acquired our permanent site. At 45 Isheri Road, Aguda Ogba Ikeja, we grew to what we are today. A part of Ikeja’s healthcare legacy.

The hospital is now run by Medical Director Dr. Amos Azzun. Under his guidance the hospital has opened the executive wards and a second operating theatre. The hospital has also expanded its services, now offering physiotherapy and more lab testing equipment.
